Hi, I’m Emily.
I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist in NC. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking personal growth and meaningful change. I completed my clinical graduate training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I bring both clinical and academic experience to my work.
I support gifted and neurodiverse individuals, including those navigating ADHD, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, underachievement, and the challenges of adulting. I help clients manage anxiety, stress, relational conflict, boundary setting, and parenting concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, helping clients better understand themselves while developing practical tools for change.
I work with clients who feel stuck and are ready to heal from past experiences and create a more fulfilling life. My training and therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My practice is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and faith-affirming, creating a safe and inclusive space where all aspects of a client’s identity are respected and supported.
In addition to my clinical work, I have over 15 years of experience in education, including working closely with adolescents and serving as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. This experience helps me deeply understand the academic, social, and emotional pressures my clients often face.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports, decorating, and listening to audiobooks.
